I need help! I can't find a replacement heater control valve and the you tube videos that I've found suggest part numbers of other valves that were used to get parts to repair old valves but those part numbers also seem to be unavailable. Please help with any current solutions. Thanks!

I have the 85 model but I am sure the same solution will work. I removed the control valve and put the proper size hose (3/4 on one side and 5/8 on the other) in the line. I then plugged the vacuum line. Been like this for several years now and no issues. If the blend door is working properly, no heat will enter the car until the temperature control is moved into the heat position. For me, the A/C works great with no signs of heat trying to enter the interior.

I used the valve in the above post a long time ago and am very happy with it. I remember it being $12 from Rock Auto at the time
