I'm lost testing Opti 1995 vette automatic
Hi, I have a 1995 Corvette that is and automatic and has 195,000 miles on it. It runs really good except at times it will cut out really bad and it doesn't seem to happen at any certain time during driving it. It has happened in hard acceleration as well as just idling. I want to know if there is a way to test the opti without taking it out ? I also have attached the list of the codes that I pulled from the car. Also what are some other things that cause the dreaded H16 code ? Thank you for any help.
Module 4: H16, H43 , H74, H83, H90,
Module 9: H72, H75, H76

Yep, same thing mine did…and it would give every “code” in existence. Go ahead and get new hoses and a water pump so you can change them too while you’re doing the opti. Don’t forget to check for a Mitsubishi sensor in your old optispark if you have one you should probably hang onto it.
You’ll find the bearing worn out on your original opti, it won’t seem like enough free play to matter when you move it but it’s enough to totally “spaz” the system. Mine made me nucking futz for two weeks chasing codes before I got a new GM rebuilt optispark.
