Anyone with Caralina Clutch experience
So...I have a 92 6sp with a dual friction clutch kit from Carolina Clutch.
https://www.carolinaclutch.com/product/c4-corvette-twin-friction-performance-clutch-kit
It's not holding. Has about 4k miles on it. They rate it to 475rwhp. I highly doubt the car is over 420rwhp. It's a 383, mildly ported lt4 heads, 12to1, 235/242 .597/.597 111lsa cam, 1 3/4 long tubes with corsa exhaust, 4.11s in the rear.
I first noticed it slipping at my 1st track day, 4th gear 4k rpm. Will slip in 4th and 5th gear at about 4k. Worse with a passenger.
At 2500miles I had a rear main seal squeal and when clutch was removed for repairs it was obvious it wasn't fully broken in yet. I'm very easy on clutches.
Does anyone think this thing just needs more miles before it'll hold or do I have to bite the bullet and install the stage 3 clutch. I'd like to hear some opinions, thanks.

I can't speak to your exact kit. I have the stage 3 kit and did the transmission shim I have around 6 thousand miles on it. I just have a l98 with 11:1 long tube hookers True duals 1.6 rockers and a tune. So not much power for now. I've had no issues. And I have beat it pretty good after I put 500 normal miles on it. It has had quite a bit of launches trying to find the correct rpm for the drag strip. I did have a little chatter at first that made me nervous but it didn't last long.

I am running steel. My wife occasionally drives the car and I wanted it as friendly as possible. The clutch likes a few hundred more rpm when engaging to release smooth. Other than that it is fine. I would imagine aluminum will need more rpm and would be less forgiving easier to stall. But I don't think it would be that bad.
