Car seems to vibrate only when the engine is cold. Have only noticed it in the colder weather not during the summer months.

Welcome to the forum.. Is it when you are driving or just at a idle? I had the same problem up in Alaska. Tires had flat spots in them till they got up to temp.

My '84 has vibration (if I try to put it in gear) until it has reached at least 160', then everything smooths out.....is this the same thing you are having......guess it dosen't matter what year our vette's are.....

even though it never really gets cold in Hotlanta.... :lol: mine vibrates for the first few miles until the tires build up a little heat....Bridgestone Potenza's.... :seeya

Mine did it with the Generals (Junk!) that were on it when I bought it. I changed to Firestone Firehawks and it also did it for a few miles until warm.
I now have Cooper Cobra's and they also do it until they warm up.
Hmmm must be in the steel belt design.

My 91 also has developed a vibration only when cold. I also had thought it was tires but had changed the tires with zero tread left to new kuhmo's and the vibration stayed the same. One morning when the car was cold. I noticed that if I raise the rpm to about 1800 while sitting I feel the vibration though not as strong as when driving. I am still trying to troubleshoot for an answer, any ideas?

Mine vibrated with the old BFG's but doesn't with the Khumos.
