86 Door/Cargo Lamps Won't Shut Off
1986 Convertible, manual trans. Plunger switches on door jambs seem to work OK, but door lamps and cargo area lamps won't time out. Battery runs down, of course. I know there's a timer for them somewhere, but I have no idea where.
Could be something else. Would appreciate any help on what to look at. Electrics are my weakest area. This just started this Spring.
If there is a way to disable these lamps, that would work too.
Thanks for any/all suggestions!

This might seem an obvious but needs to be asked since you didn't cover it in the post, did you check the headlight light switch give it a twist to the right to make sure interior lights are not on.
. Also is the hatch switch free

Light switch is all the way right, lights still stay on. Battery is still dead, not taking much of a charge yet. I've owned this car since 1998, it stopped being fun about my 70th birthday, so it doesn't get driven much. Like maybe 20-30 miles a year now.
I did notice that when I switched the key to ON, it made a buzzing noise that I've never heard before. Not a clicking, but a buzz. Very odd. And the lights are still on (it's on the charger).
