Scored a OBDI scanner at an auction, has 3 cartridges one for ford 81-86 one for Gm 81-89 and one 3 in one domestic gm chrysler and ford 1991.
it is an OTC monitor 2000 with power cord and cords to connect to the cars. haven't had a chance to see if it will read my 91 because it's in the paint shop, but for40 bucks i couldn't pass it up on the chance it will.

I'm curious, what's the advantage of this particular unit? I have a reader from Advanced Auto that plugs in--flashed me both ECM and ASb codes. Does this do something more detailed?

Thanks,

Ronn
