Default A Tech1 or Tech 1A...But So Much More!

I've owned the Mac tool version of the Master Tech 3100 which I used with my three C4 ZR-1 cars. I no longer have a ZR-1, but I still have the tool taking up space in the house. I have many adapters for the tool including the one that gives it OBD II capability and the one that makes it an oscilloscope. I've never used these two functions however. Anyway, is there anyone out there interested in this useful tool--especially a member in the Corvette community who owns or works on OBD I cars? If so it can be yours for $500/OBO. Buyer pays shipping..

For the years of 94 and 94 the cars have a 16 pin OBD2 connector but is OBD1 software. Does the set have the adaptor to accommodate this.
All earlier corvette used the 12 pin (OBD1) ALDL connector.

You've got me stumped. I see I have an adapter which says: "GM 16/12 Pin Non-OBD II DLC Adapter P/N 3000053", but I'm not sure what else is needed to connect it to the Master Tech 3100 as I've never used it for my '90 or my '95 ZR-1 cars. You would be wise to check out what else, if anything, is needed. I will be happy, of course, to see if I have these other things. Just let me know.

You MUST post a price. Ads asking for "offers" are not permitted, and your thread will get locked. See below.

3. Best Offers & Gauging Interest

The forum will permit "OBO" or "serious offers" in a sale thread where a price has been stipulated.

We will not permit threads where no price is stated, and asks for open offers. Low ball offers that are clearly ridiculous in nature, will be considered a violation of the forum rule pertaining to "Interference in a for sale," thread:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1118176

Members are not permitted to "gauge interest," in their item for sale thread. Such threads will create an ebay type auction, and that is unacceptable. Sellers must create their thread with an asking price included.

Only forum vendors are permitted to gauge interest in their products.

**NOTE** Supporting vendors sometimes offer prices that are below that recommended by manufacturers, so we allow them to post threads without a price and to ask people to contact them by phone or PM for the price. We extend the same courtesy to our supporting dealers, even though in most cases it is advantegeous for them to post a price.

Default I just might have an updated answer

Looking around again this morning I just might have what's needed. I located in my "stuff" a 12 /14 pin adapter (02001384) which will connect to my Mastertech's DLC cable. The other end of this DLC cable adapter connects to the GM 16/12 pin non-OBD ll DLC adapter (P/N 3000053) which should then connect to the '95 Vette's 12 pin ALDL connector. I think this can work, but I have no way of testing this arrangement. Perhaps Hib Halverson could verify this. Here's what it looks like. On another note, to comply with the forum's posting rules, I edited my post to include a price/OBO.

GM cars with PCM that is reflashed, does not use a serviceable PROM, use 16 pin ALDL regardless of OBD 1 or 2. OBD with serviceable PROM uses 12 pin ALDL. There is no 1.5. There is a interface module so Tech1 / Mastertech will read OBD2 provided correct cartridge or software in msc.

Thanks for the effort and information. It does look like it has the connectors for what I was asking about. The people with the 94-95 cars would work and sure the software is there also. It looks like it would support the 96 (OBD2) as well. That's a fair and good price for that unit with that display screen. Many have paid more for Tech 1 (1a).
