Not a bolt in bar, a real welded in cage. Did you start with a pre-bent kit? If so, whose and how did it fit?

If I felt like paying someone else to do it, I certainly would. I was trying to see if any of the present kits were decent starting points.

I bought the weld in kit from S&W in Chrome molly. I did cut and tweek it a little, I added swing outs and bent the bars a little to get as close to the door panels. This was many moons ago but I think I paid around $450 for the kit and picked it up so no shipping was involved. This is for a 6-point bar not a cage that goes around the windshield.

..... My 6-point roll bar started off as a chrome moly "kit" from A.R.T. (Applied Racing Technology) in Pinellas Park , FL with swing-out door bars ... I don't remember for sure , but I don't think it was a Corvette specific kit ... I had it professionally installed by Carty Race Cars ... they have bending and notching tools and "tweaked" the kit a lot ... FYI , most sanctioning bodies will not approve of mig welded plumbing ... needs to be tig welded ... but on a local level , your track will probably not send you home UNLESS you are running in a very fast category .....

As I mentioned in the other section, I had a chrome moly 5 point made by a local fabricator in the Bay Area decades ago.

..... The C4 Corvette is tricky to get the side bars as close to the door panels as possible and to get the hoop close to the halo and tilted back slightly for seat clearance ... mine has the cross bar on the hoop mounted back aways for that specific reason .....
