Cooling fan issues
I'll pose this a different way. Can the coolant temp sensor be bad to the point of not turning on the fans and still not throw an ses code.
1990 w/ 383 with older pcmforless tune
Cooling fans used to work but no longer turn on. I can short them at the relays and they will come on so not the fan motors. New relay and tried the new relay on both fans. No ses light so can assume not coolant temp sensor. Any ideas where to go from here?

Here's a link to a 2011 post where Hooked on Vettes shows the control of the fans for a 95. He's showing how to install a manual switch but the include information may help with your problem..

I'm going to ASSUME you have the same setup as I do. One fan on via ECM and the other from a temp sensor on the right side of the head. Try grounding that sensor wire and see if the fan comes on. The other one, IIRC has to be activated by the ECM if it gets to the programmed temp.
