Anyone using orignal ZR1 wheels?
just wondering if any of you guys are using the original ZR1 wheels with 36mm offset on your C4's... how much do they really stick out? :seeya

Yep, they stuck out about an inch or so. It was a little too much for me, so I slapped on some GS fender flares. :)

I am in the process of decideing ZR1 offset or GS offset... i am getting the flares put on as well... and was wondering if the original ZR1 offset fits under there nicer than the GS? how much space do u have left under the flare with the original ZR1 (36mm) offset? and if u lowered your car would it rub the fender or would it fit perfect?

Re: Anyone using orignal ZR1 wheels? (cprgmr)
thanks bro.. u helped me out totally... quick question... when u put the flares on did u cutt or bend up the original flare.. the only reason why i ask this is becasue if the GS flares are just placed on, the original fender will still be in the same spot and therefore my car is lowered even thou there is clearence with the flares the original will still get rubbed??? also on the original Zr1 wheels the lip is deeper because of the offset correct? thanks again

I believe Morrison Motorsports sells a modified spindle that will allow you to use the original ZR-1 wheels and they fit flush. It's been a long time since I looked, but I'm pretty sure it was them. I also seem to remember it being rather expensive, and I'm not sure what other benefits it offers.
Eventually I'd like to do this, as I really like the stock sawblades and want 11.5's on the back :chevy

I am using the ZR1 sawblades on my '88 conv. I used rear knuckles from an '86 and I had my '88 rear caliper mounts machined down to the thickness of the '86 caliper mounts. The 11 inch wide sawblades fit great. My car is also lowered and I have no problem with any rubbing. If you need more details on how to do this, go ahead and e-mail me.
