Default Should I pull the trigger?

Just got a 383 shortblock quote from Golen Engine Service. Now is the part where you have to decide how much you want to give your cash a new home. :)

1-Piece Rear Main / Rollercam 350 Block
Eagle 4340 Forged Crank
Eagle 4340 Forged H-Beam Connecting Rods
JE Forged pistons
Speed Pro Plasma-Moly Rings

Block: Thermally cleaned and Stainless-Steel Shot. Inspected by MPI process. Bored, honed and pressure washed. Clevite cam bearings and pioneer brass freeze plugs installed

Block Preparation
The block is visually inspected and MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) tested for casting flaws and/or cracks. It is then bored for oversize pistons using a custom-built Rottler FA2-AVB automatic precision boring machine. Finish sizing is accomplished using a state-of-the-art Sunnen CV616 power stroke honing machine.

I was quoted this being good up to 750hp and 8000 RPM if I ever needed it.

There is nothing wrong w/ this combo. Is there a Q here?

These parts are more than strong enough for an NA task. You could spray this combo if you wanted to.
You could do it for less $, but time would be a factor.

Nope. No Q's, just that crummy moment when you have to give up the $ before you can play with it. :) He told me I could throw whatever I wanted at the JE pistons for spray and be fine (with the engine at least) within those limits listed above.

Why dont you just fix your engine, it would cost less then that.

How much with a cast crank? Do you really NEED all forged internals?!? That is a lot for just the bottom end...

My original plan was to build a supercharged 383 when I was able to get the money together. If I do this now I won't have to do the bottom end again as long as I don't bump the CR too high now.
