Tire question
Would it be ok to go with 285/40/17 all the way around. The reason was to be able to rotate them and get better wear.
The front is lowered I don't know if that will be a factor

Not sure on tire rub, but I figure someone will know that.
You will want to make sure that the tire you choose allows the 285 to be run on a 9.5 rim. You don't want to bend the sidewall out of its spec too much because that will affect the overall handling of the tire.
Unless you already have a couple of 285s you want to use up, I'd suggest the 275. They are less expensive, more common across brands, and depending upon the reason stated above, you may actually handle better. The 1cm of footprint per tire isn't going to give you that much more of an advantage.

In another post, someone said that the 285s rubbed on one of his bolts. He also had the stock 9.5 rims. Can anyone confirm this?
