Engine removal 94 coupe w/4l60e
Does the trans have to be moved rearward to remove the engine? Block is down to the short block, exhaust system is out already, I have a cherry picker for the removal. Any help with info will be appreciated.

No, you can leave it bolted onto the cbeam. With the tranny to motor bolts off, pull the motor mount pins and raise the motor/tranny assembly a couple inches to clear the motor mount ears. Place a bottle jack under the tranny pan with a 2x4 to protect the pan. The motor will separate from the tranny. Pull it forward and out.
