Default ICM failure on 93 LT!

I've had 2 ICM's fail on my 93 LT1, just replaced the 2nd failed unit. What could cause the failures? The car was running at some elevated temps, before I replaced the OEM radiator with a Champion dual core.

The key to ICM longevity is it's ability to transfer it's heat to the Cylinder head. The critical step needed to achieve this is to ensure there is a perfect amount of Thermal compound put on the back of the ICM prior to mounting it to the cylinder head. Also, if your cylinder head was seeing higher than normal temperature due to a radiator issue, that nay have also contributed to pre-mature failure.
