You don't actually mention your location but if I were in the vicinity of or within a reasonable drive of Corey Henderson @ Henderson Performance of New Braunfels TX I would certainly give him a call and speak with him. He's very familiar with C4's and ZR-1's. If it's a service he can provide you're in good hands I believe OR if not I would expect that he could offer up reliable options for you in the area.

ZF Doc. Nowhere near Texas but he knows more about the ZF6 then the rest of the world outside Germany put together.

Google him with that moniker. You will have to have it pulled and shipped but I can't think anyone East of Germany that can work on a ZF at all much less with his experience.

Check around your city for a good trans shop, I checked with my trans shop and asked them if they were familiar with ZF trannys. They told me that they rebuild a lot of ZF's, as ford trucks use them. They said they are expensive as the kit was $1900.00. I had synchros going out.
They rebuilt the trans and it shifts real smooth. That was five (5) yrs. ago.
Good luck.

Thanks for the idea. I might check with a local shop before I pick one. Good idea.
