Default For the lost and forgotten Crossfire enthusiast

I now have my 84 vette crossfire running 12.0s and expect to hit 11.5s when I swap out the stock converter for a yank ss 3600. Heads scratch at the track. Tom you would be proud. Yes I am running cheaters.

IDK who "Tom" is...but I'm pretty stoked for you. Good numbers! Got any video of your passes?

The CFI is a great MID LENGTH runner intake. Been saying it for years.

He did mention "renegade", which is an aftermarket CFI manifold:

A lot of C4 guys like to badmouth eighty fours (mine included), but it's twice the fun seeing the expression on their face when they get their backside kicked by a "lowly" '84.

Great post and nice to see some great numbers out of the crossfire. Just takes some skill and elbow grease.

There is some guys in texas that will do 2.0" for you. They actually sell them on ebay, if you look you should figure out who they are. Cant remember there name. Anything over 2" requires a sleeve, but I dont think you need anything over that. Two at 2" I think will flow somewhere around 700cfm. So unless you are building 500hp + monster you dont need them. Actually, the stock ones will handle 350 or so just fine.
Good luck

Yes, I know. The Renegade is pretty darn similar to the stock intake, the most meaningful difference being the much larger runner cross section.

The Crossfire, AND the Renegade (Basically the "Crossfire" platform) is a nice, MID LENGTH runner intake.

Fantastic numbers, for sure! Time slips? Combo? Other CFI owners will want to copy what you've done, I'd bet. That is getting it done, for sure.
