Car got rained on....alarm goes off.
Car almost always gets parked in the garage. I got parked outside yesterday as I'm doing a rear main seal job and wanted the extra space in the garage.
Anyway, POURED rain yesterday, last night...this morning, alarm (horn) starts going off. I went down, unlocked it, locked it, walked away. 1/2 hour later, alarm goes off again. Now it's just unlocked.

I bet it will dry out and be fine.

You can be having a problem in the door jamb switches...which can go bad.
I have also run into the black plastic push in plug that goes in the lock pillar area where the switch actually contacts....may need to either be replaced or removed and a thin washer placed behind it and pushed back in. This will space it out slightly and allow the door switch to not be as sensitive.....BECAUSE I have experienced this before. And sometimes the battery goes dead due to the interior lights are on ....due to the switch.

I will lock it tomorrow morning. If the alarm goes off again, I'll look to see if the interior lights are on. I agree that a door switch is a possibility.

The problem is you left it outside in the Rain and it's telling you to put it back in the Garage and only take her back out on Sunny Days and I'd say also spray those darn door jam Switches

Tom, if the horn goes off in the rain while driving, that could cause several problems. One, your wife thinks you honking at the ladies, and, or, other drivers think you are rude....

The door switch mounted on your door is what triggers the alarm and IS THE PROBLEM. It is grounding and setting off the alarm. This is from experience and knowing the system. The switch that is on the backside of the door lock cylinder is what dis-arms the system...and it is not the problem.
I seriously doubt it had anything to do with the rain. Just dumb luck and timing....and I can not buy into that one. UNLESS...some BOZO has gotten into your doors and messed around with the wiring. But a factory set-up that has not been modified or damaged..I seriously doubt it.
