Default 1985 Corvette won't start

Hi guys, I have a 1985 Corvette with a Miniram, 58mm throttle body, AFR 195 Eliminator heads, flat tappet ZZ409 camshaft, Hedman Longtube 1 5/8" headers, 1.6 comp cam roller rockers, Dynomax True Dual 2 1/4" exhaust, MSD 6AL2 ignition box, D.U.I. Distributor, MSD 8.5mm low resistance ignition wires, Descreened MAF sensor, TB coolant Bypass, 60 PSI fuel pressure, 10:1 compression, and a couple other mods.

Anyway, I just got finished rebuilding my manual transmission and overdrive unit. I installed it in the car the other day. I replaced the battery today because it was shot.

The car sat for about 2 months until I put the transmission in because I had to wait for parts to show up and had a hard time finding them.

The car ran fine before this. I had snapped the 1 + 2 shift shaft inside the transmission.

I fired it up this morning. Ran for about 10 seconds, idle RPMs started getting lower and then it stalled.

I tried to start it again and I can't get it fired up.

So far I have tested for spark, fuel pressure, fuel injector pulse, and timing. All of those are good.

Anybody have any ideas what's going on? The only other thing I can think of would be compression, but how would I lose compression that fast if it was just running?

Thanks for any help!

I got it to start with starting fluid. But I drained out some fuel and this is what it looks like. Do you think someone put something in there?

Looks very cloudy and I see a lot of water in there.

Drain all the fuel out of the car, and put new fuel in.

As the saying goes "well there's your problem"

Replace the fuel filter too. That gas looks awful. I would remove the fuel pump and look around inside the tank. After you drain it, use some old towels to wipe up anything that's left.

Replace the rubber gasket where the pump assembly attaches to the tank. There could be a leak there.

If you 're concerned about sabotage, get a locking gas cap.
