Default Can you ID a part from a '96 LT1?

It attaches to the passenger side of the intake manifold. It is cylindrical, made of plastic, and attaches to two vacuum hoses on the other end. Sorry, I couldn't get the picture to add to this post. The dealer says I need to know what it does or where it goes in order for him to ID it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds possibly like the charcoal canister purge solenoid.

This part is not electric, no wires. It has vacuum hose on each end and attaches to the intake manifold. The dealer parts guy is useless, he has "things to do". If someone with an LT1 would pop off the passenger side engine cover the nipple it connects to is just forward of the #3, (or is it #6?), injector. I have no idea how to put an image on line. When I tried to put the picture in this post it took me to a screen that allows me to select the picture but then goes nowhere.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding here but I thought you were the guy looking for help! Learn how to post the snapshots to the forum. If you've got the snapshot on your computer it's pretty straight forward to get the image to the post. There's very limited components on the right side (passenger) side of the engine. You said right. Do you mean passenger?

Did you show the snapshot to the parts guy?

Available at any parts store for around 5 bucks.

Yes, that is it. Thanks very much. I do appreciate your time in helping me. Do you know where the two connectors go?

Off the top of my head at least one goes through the firewall to the HVAC system inside the car. The other may also connect to the HVAC.
