Default Whos Running CorvetteCentral exhaust 324148- h pipe w/magnaflow mufflers

Highly considering purchasing this kit.

Was wondering if anyone else decided to run it?

If you did are you happy with it and do you have a drone issue in the car?

How is it holding up?

I had mine installed late last year on my '84 with a 4+3, and I am not too pleased with the way they hang near the rear axle. The pipes sit way too low. There's no mounting point to pull them up tighter.

I contacted Corvette Central for help, but they had no suggestions. They don't sell mounts for the location near the rear axle.

I haven't messed with it yet, because I am getting a Tremec installed next week and the exhaust will have to be moved for the new transmission.

I am hoping I can take it to a exhaust shop to see if they can tighten it up and mount it better.

I know my kit is for the early C4, but you should check with Corvette Central on the mid/rear mounting points.

Also, they do sound terrific.

Wow that really is low. I wonder if mine would sit better since my car is a 95.

do you have a sound clip?

Do you have any pics of them attached in the front? How was the h pipe welds?

Thanks

I would bet an exhaust shop could get the pipes to tuck under the body better with hangers and some nice welds.....

You are probably better off going to an exhaust shop but if you want an alternative, I just used the cheapest muffler straps I could find and wrapped the strap around the sway bar. No drilling, welding or adjusting -- it's just plain bubba.

I have long spring bolts to lower the rear of my '87 so I wanted to get the exhaust up as high as possible. Here's the result:

And here's the hanger strap:

I am considering one of those systems myself. I would love to see one installed also. 2 3/4" and mandrel bent according to CC
