Overheating problem - FIXED
Hey guys I just wanted to let everyone know that I fixed the overheating problem that I was having. I set the fan on temp to 215 instead of 225, this way the fan came on when the dash gauge read 225, and it went to 229 and came down.
Previously I had the fan set to come on at 190, which is about 200 on the dash gauge. I think this may have been part of the problem.
I also replaced the thermostat with an OEM thermostat. This may have been part of the problem as the temperature no longer rises as fast as it did.
I repaired the connection to the cooling fan relay from the inline fuse that I installed. This may have contributed.
I fixed the misfire I was having, which may also have contributed to the problem.
I did not touch the tune in terms of AFR.
Took it out, doesn't overheat at low speeds, medium speed, high speed, or high high speeds. It also doesn't overhead under load and it doesn't overheat with the A/C on.
Thanks for everyone's help. I really appreciate it.
