Trouble Code P1441 After Replacing Fuel Injection Pressure Regulator
I have a automatic 1996 C4 LT1 with 42,000 miles on it.
Last week I noticed my Fuel Injection Pressure Regulator was leaking. I ordered a new one, P/N PR92 from RockAuto and replaced it.
Within two days my “service engine soon” light came on. I took it down to O'Reilly and had the code pulled. I got trouble code p1441, EVAP System Flow During Non-Purge Conditions with a list of possible problems. Since I have a hard time dismissing coincidences, (everything was running fine until I replaced the fuel pressure regulator), I was wondering if the new problem could be related to the new part. I found in the shop manual a comment about fuel pressure, “If pressure is too high, a DTC may be set.”
Has anyone had experience with this? Is it truly just a coincidence or are they related?
