FAST XFI 2.0 Install
Just sharing with ya all the start of a XFI 2.0 project for my 1991 corvette. Lots to do... Any experienced with words of wisdom out there before I begin?

White Racing makes a wiring harness adapter that will allow you to plug the FAST box into the stock harness. That's what I used. The other side to it our wiring is getting pretty old so if there are issues, a new harness is good. I guess it comes down to what kind of shape the wiring harness is in.

Are you also going coil on plug? Are you going to use the opti for cam sink. to get sequential fuel injection? Will you be using a crank trigger? Good luck with your project, I want to do something similar this winter for my 93.

When i wired the fast box in my car i went the route of a new harness. Took the old harness completely out of the car, laid it on plywood, nailed it accordingly, peeled back the sheething, removed all duplicate and unnecessary wires, and put it back together. Took me about 2 weeks and alot of reading of the factory schematics but it came out great and looked factory.
The new harness also had larger gauge wire, the older wire seemed to be getting brittle. at least in my car. If yours looks in good shape use the adapter Jim mentioned!

The benefits of tuning were simple awesome. To be able to do it myself was a valuable experience and a money saver too. The real reason I went this route over 10 years ago was to spin 8000rpm. Factory ECM has no maps beyond 7k I believe and the opti spark ... Not sure how long it would last spinning those speeds.

Thanks all for the information, I am using the FAST Distributor. I have harness ready to go back in. Need to ask, those that used the FAST harness as well, did you cut the 2" hole above original harness or did find a spot on the drivers side?
