Clutch and Flywheel questions. (part 2)
This is what I've narrowed it down to. Price is with in $100 of each so I'm
not really worried there. Please pick which one you'd prefer and
specifically WHY you choose what you did or WHY you wouldn't use one of the
others.

I hope ya got a chance to see my clutch review/experiences.
Aluminum FW is too light in my opinion. Never seen it myself, but heard a stories of aluminum fw's separating from their centers(of course that is for high HP/TQ car drag car). Also available is aluminum center with steel friction surface. I vote for steel FW. Single. SPEC II or III newest version.
I am not a compensated endorser

lots of guys also running the Mcleod and Centerforce with great results.
Decsions decisions. I guess I chose spec for the claims they make.

JMHO, I would stay away from the SMF with Star. Seems like guys have been more unhappy with this set up than the Mcleod approach. The guys that have the Spec 2 and the dual mass flywheel seem happy.

I would add another choice...
Camaro Single Mass FW and McCleod single mass clutch assembly
Nice, quiet operation and enough to hold what you will be throwing at it.
You may be thinking, "noise is not much of an issue", but when you have it, it becomes an issue. I had noises in any gear at under 2.5-3K rpm using the SPEC Stage 3 and a single mass. Just not what I wanted anymore. It certainly holds as well as a dual disk though.

Re: Clutch and Flywheel questions. (R94 LT 1)
I'm putting in the star stage III with the single mass. The only complaints I have heard is that the single mass makes noise when in neutral with the clutch out. However, it spools up faster and should give me better times and save me $400 over replacing the stock flywheel and 15 pounds. I can live with some rattle for that. It should be plenty strong for my horsepower applications. I don't plan breaking past 500 at the rear wheel. The Mcleod would have been the one I would put in if I was going North of 700 HP but I've heard of it needing alot of work to get it in and more compaints about that setup than the others.
