Default 1990 Automatic Shift Kit and Pan

I am going to install a B&M Shift Kit and Tranny Pan in my car and I was wondering if anyone has done it and if I should plan for complications. I talked to a gentleman by the name of Brad at Summit Racing and he was very helpful. He told me that the correct Shift Kit is P/N BMM-70239 and the tranny pan is P/N BMM-70289. My concern is that the pan is deeper than the original, +3 quarts, and I am not sure if I have the ground clearance. Can anyone provide me with their past experiences on if I should be concerned or not.
Thank you for you help and advise.
