Default 3 mufflers?

Quick question
What about removing the center muffler I like the looks of her rear end.
Will I get a better tone? Rather than stock? Too sutle for me.or will it make a difference. How about divorced pipes or H X y'all don't help I'm getting divorced.

It kind of depends on what her face looks like. That matters to some.

I removed my resonator in favor of straight pipes and it is only slightly louder at idle and a bit louder and throatier when I hammer on it. I'm happy with it. My car is otherwise stock.

My exhaust is Hedman Headers, 2.5 inch mandrel bent stainless tubing and a Magnaflow Crossflow (internal x pipe flow through "muffler") then it just comes out the back end with some rectangular tips. Sexy at idle and roars like it eats babies at WOT.

If you really want to change your exhaust tone to have a better sound and really liven up the car, get some full length or long tube headers.

X H or none at all wont really affect anything other than exh pitch.

Mileage shouldnt change at all either way

Same on mine. A bit louder but not obnoxious.

On my 96 LT4 I went from stock system(too quiet) to Pacesetter ceramic coated shorty headers, resonator deleted, and 40 series Flowmasters and an H pipe!!! I love it!! Runs stronger, sounds better at all rpm levels!!! It truly sings at 4000rpm!!! Just my 2cents.

But how bad is the drone? Don't say there isn't any either? Flowmasters are known as dronemasters for a reason..

There is a drone but it isn't excessive at all! The gains far exceed the drawbacks! Besides, that's why they put a stereo in them!!!!!

If you like headaches they sound great. When I had 40s on my 91 I could not drive it to work without getting a headache from the drone.

I had them on my '86 and the drone wasn't bad... with the top off... Put on the top and it was unbearable. That car was especially bad, it had headers with true duals to flowmaster 40's, with no cats. It sounded great outside of the car but terrible inside. Will never make that mistake again.
