Default Installing Lowering Kit - Where do I glue the wedges?

I've pulled the front spring and I've removed the pads on top of the spring. The directions I got say to glue the new wedges to the frame. I thought I saw where others glued the wedges to the spring. Which is it? And what's the best glue to use? I have weatherstrip adhesive.

My front spring from Vette Brakes came with the wedges glued to the spring.

Can't recall, if I were to do it again I would have done no wedges, but keep the shim. Just my .02

You need some rubber between the frame and the fiberglass spring; but that's your choice. I would not want to replace the front spring more than once.

Thanks all. I think I'll stick with the wedges supplied in the kit. I'm not looking to lower this more than 3/4". I think the kit as designed will be just right.

Either way works, I have done it both ways. Currently mine are glued to the frame with weatherstrip adhesive (clean area with alcohol first) Once load is applied, the wedges can't really move or come out anyway, you just don't want to knock one loose while sliding the spring thru the opening.

Or you can simply cut the stock rubber down to the height of the wedges from the kit. No need to worry about scrapping the old ones off and gluing the new ones...
