Default What your favorite cleaner wax?

Anyone have an all time favorite ,that really gets deep down into the paint to clean it,and also leaves a beautiful , lusturous, shine; all in one easy step. Im also open to a two step process. Thanks. Pics would also be great.

just like jack daniels, no(number) 7 polishing compound(used to think it was a DuPont product) followed by a good quality wax. used mothers but lately been using meguires. for really nasty looking weathered paint, DuPont rubbing compound, no 7 polish and wax.

Hard to go wrong with Meguires anything. NXT is the best I have ever used....easy on, easy off. The karate Kid would be proud.

Griots Garage, Best Of Show Wax is the best I've used. You can start off with their Pre Wax Cleaner or Speed Shine and a clay bar. AutoGeek.Net carries their products. Some Advanced Auto stores carry some products as well. Best shine ever. Apply multiple coats and let sit for a few hours. I use a Porter Cable 7424 with a microfiber boot over a lambswool pad to remove. All Griots Garage Stuff is great. I use some Zaino products for my interior, but you can't go wrong with their exterior products either. They have a cult like following on the Forums.

Collinite Double Wax.

Never heard of it. Gets good reviews though.

I prefer Adams and Meguire products.
Easy to find, easy to work with and the results are always predictable.

I use NuFinish in the orange bottle. Amazing stuff. Dissolves the worst kind of road tar and other gunk and lasts a LONG time. They say wax once a year and it's pretty close.

This is the best cleaner wax I've found. I use Zaino for the final wax.

I used NuFinish this afternoon to clean up my car for a show tomorrow. It works really well on windshields, too. That's an old car show trick... ;-)

[EDIT] I started using NuFinish because it was rated #1 by some consumer magazine I don't remember the name of. At the time I never heard of it. About 6 months later I saw it at a drug store (!) and bought some. That was about 20 years ago and I've been using it ever since.

I guess the car show prep paid off -- I got first place out of about 20 cars in my class.[/EDIT]

i'm not loyal to any one brand. i've used a variety of quality, name brand products, over the years, and as far as i'm concerned, their delivery is all about the same. as far as all the marketing - 90% hype, 10% fact. BTW, presently using mothers, because, when i needed a cleaner wax, it was there...

Liquid Glass Pre cleaner and Liguid Glass Polish/Finish. Been using it for more years than I care to count.

The Pre-Cleaner is getting hard to find but I just scored a Gallon jug on E-Bay.

I use Adams on my '93. Did the whole clay bar, swirl and haze remover, polish, and wax.

I used Zaino for the 1st time Sunday, pretty impressive, but my paint is new, so anything would probably work

add Adam's spray sealant after the polish, before wax. Then just use the Adam's Glaze for touch ups to wax base.
