Header choices?

Header choices?
I have a set of AFR 210 LT4 Comp port Heads going on my 383 and I am in the process of trying to purchase a set of Long tube headers. Hooker makes a mid length 2151-1HKR but they say they wont fit an angled plug head which the AFR 210 is. I am also looking at exotic muscle long tubes and OBX long tubes. The pricing between the 3 is about a 500.00 difference. Can I get some of your guy's opinions please.?

This is a great thread. Not many header threads on the archives.

True, I could have done a bit more searching in the archives. But even searching I didnt get the answer i need. What is the difference between the L98 angle plug heads and the AFR angle plug heads? Why will the 2151s fit the l98 and not the afr 210 lt4 heads?

I'm probally the only guy in America that does, but I have a set of the 3 most popular C4 long tube header choices.
Hooker 2151's 1 3/4 on my 84 race car. Dart Pro 1 230's, angle plug and everything fits fine. Plug access is easy but this car has no heater box or ASR/computer stuff to deal with... might be different on a regular street car.
Exotic Muscle 1 3/4 on my 92. AFR 210 Elminators, angle plugs and everything fits fine... Plug access on the drivers side is a ****.... hate changing plugs on these headers....
ARH 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 steped waiting to be installed on my 92....
We just however installed a set of these ARH's on a friends 96 Grandsport which has AFR 195 Eliminators, angle plugs and everything fits fine. Plug access is still a bitch on a few of the drivers side but IMO a little better than EM's.
Now I do route ALL of my spark plug wires under the headers so that they come up to the plugs as it give me less problems with wires being near a primary tube and IMO it makes the engine compartment cleaner.
Your results may vary if you run your spark plug wires over the rocker covers...

According to summit Racing, the 2151s are only mid-length. They told me they are actually 3 inches shorter than long tubes. For arguements sake, Thats just what the guy told me on the phone and how they list them on their site.
Here is the link to the headers I was refering to. This link shows the overview of the headers, but if u click the application button, scroll half way down the page and you will see it says they will not fit the AFR angle Plug heads.
