So I got a free radio from a 98' GP. Its in mint condition. Not even a worn button. I was wondering it might work in my 89' Vette. I did some looking and it looks like if it were from 96' or older it would work. The thing is they look very similar to the 96's, but Im sure the wiring could be very different. I love to work on my own cars, and I am pretty mechanical. My shortfalls are with electronics. If anyone has any ideas regarding how to find out if this will work that would be great. Thank you!

You might have luck if you ask this in the audio section of the forum. I'm not sure what year they started using security codes in radios.

I didn't realize we had an audio section It does have a theft lock, but a friend told me he could help with that if it will work. Thank you.
