Default Recommended header bolts

I have tried the stage 8 bolts. They still backed out, bent the retaining washers. With the large tubes, you have to rely on the allen head to torque them. You can barely get them up to torque. Are there any other suggestions?

If you have the clearance to use safety wire pliers I recommend ARP stainless bolts with the "NASCAR" type holes. They have never backed out or loosened on me. I'm using them on an LT-1 with Doug's shorty headers. I went with the 12 point because clearances were tight. I also installed them with the engine out.

I use ARP's NASCAR style also, 5/16 12 point head makes it easy to work on even in the tightest areas.
