Default x pipe

is it worth replacing resonator with an X pipe on my DD? not even sure what it looks like under there. is there a Y pipe at each end? then a straight peice of pipe would work or will it be too noisy with magnaflow mufflers?

It will be louder without the resonator no matter what you substitute it with. The X gets rid of some of the raspy noise from the exhaust.
Other than that they serve no useful purpose.

For those concerned about noise, you should look at the Magnaflox x-pipe resonator. They make an x-pipe inside a resonator....fairly friendly price IIRC. ($100-$130ish maybe)?

That way you can get you're quiet and 2hp all in the same package!
