Door Lock unLock issue
I bought a 96 Vette and the key fob only unlocks the passenger side door!? The power door locks inside work fine. Does not make a sound on drivers side. Any Ideas what I should do?

The system allows you to choose whether you want the passenger door to unlock passively. (The PKE will always unlock the driver's door when the system is in the passive mode.) To enable or disable the passenger door, perform the following procedure:
1. First, a transmitter must be in range of the PKE receiver.
2. The key must be in the ignition in the off position.
3. Push the door switch on the remote for approximately five seconds.
4. The PKE module will then lock and unlock the doors to verify that the command has been sent.
Even if the driver-door-only unlock option has been chosen, you can still unlock the passenger door using the transmitter.

Just to be sure you understand.
The buttons on the FOB will NEVER unlock the drivers door.

A better explanation, now that I am off my phone and back on a keyboard. The C4 remote system is different from most car remotes. As Rolla said, the door button is not supposed to lock/unlock the doors. The way the system works is when you walk away from the car, the doors lock, when you walk towards the car, they unlock. From your description, it sounds like the system is working but "turned off". Stand outside next to the drivers door, hold down the " door" button for 5 to 10 seconds. You should hear a clack-clack sound. That is the system turning on/off. Now walk away from your car and see if the doors lock automatically.
This is all covered in the owners manual. Lots of good stuff in there (like how the parking brake works).
