The lift is higher. Not sure about the duration.

It has higher ligft numbers and the duration isn't much different than a L98. Honestly, it is a waste of time. A set of 1.6RR would produce better results (lift numbers would be similar, but reduce friction would put you ahead). If you going to spend the time changing the cam, I would pick a more agressive cam.

Bad choice. Find a better cam!

dgoodhue,

What do you mean by reduce friction between the L98 cam and the LT1 cam? If I put a LT1 cam in my 1988 Corvette, will that be the only benefit? My 1988 already has the roller lifter...

The LT1 cam isnt different enough to help you, its your TPI that is the problem. You are better off installing the 1.6 RR

Mark, I have both a LT1 cam and a Comp 305 Cam for sale The LT1 has 30k miles on it and the Comp has 10K miles on it. Will sell the LT1 for $100 but your Probably better off with the Comp Cam which I will sell for $175 plus shipping. I don't remember the stock number but the comp cam is a 220/230 @0.50 with 545/545 with 1.6 RR and a 114 lobe seperation. Has been a great cam but going to need to go bigger with my 383 setup. Let me know if your interested.

ANUTT-

Actualy, I am not in need of a cam myself. I will be replacing my stock LT1 cam with the LT4 HotCam kit. Viet will be reassembling his engine by that time http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=312971 and we figured that if it would be any good for his L98, we might as well put my LT1 cam in as we reassembled. Otherwise the stock L98 cam will go in.

Reduce friction of aftermarket Rocker Rollers vs stock Rocker. The cams should have the same frictions in theory (there are production tolerances).

Sorry didn't read your response carefully
I have the Comp. 1.52 roller tip to put in. and I guess I am going to reused the L98 cam.
