Does this sound like a cracked flex plate to you?

but,what caused the bolts to hit the back of the converter ? your engine have the funny (thicker)flywheel flange ? or wrong flexplate ? should have about 1/8 or so clearance from flexplate to converter before you bolt it up. or was it the wrong model converter ?

I really don't know I'm going to leave it to the experts this time. I have a truck block a truck 4l60e and an ls2 flexplate. I didnt remember seeing the ring Coach pointed out and have been thinking about it all day. The first thing I did when I got home was look at the converter. I believe the lighting and or the fluid on top of the converter made that ring ..there is no ring
Here is a picture from a different angle after I cleaned off the fluid.

Now that you showed the tq at a different angle things appear differently. My reference is at the smooth area where the grey paint meets the green. Your first pic appeared the bolts may have buffed the converter. Now I see the shiny ring I spoke of earlier was reflection from your flash.
