You need to move the MEMCAL from the old ECM to the new one. It holds the program that runs your car. It's under a cover on the ECM housing held on by two 1/4" hex-head screws. It looks like this:

Did I miss why you are changing so many parts?


Also, the ESC does not affect the spark. It only listens for knock (after the spark happens) and notifies the ECM that spark retard is recommended.

No, I am trying to restart the car after 5 years of storage in the florida
sun.. And after reading the service manual and possible issues.. I am
check and questioning the manual with u-all, before I start work..

I have the car running, but I think I have this issue handled.. I am working on the issue of the car cutting out after it has started. I think it in the injectors .. Thanks guys
