Default AFR 245's

Hey Guys, I changed the heads on my 450ci from the AFR 235's to the AFR 245's.I don't think there are very many people on here using these heads, so I thought I would share some pictures. I also bumped the compression from 11.6 to 12.2. I went to a Crower shaft system with 1.7/1.6 rocker ratio's. So the Crane 252/260 solid roller now has .714/.674 lift. The AFR 245's flow 350cfm, but have a bigger cross section which should also help. And the Miniram flows over 400cfm, so it will be able to keep up with the new heads. I am hoping the combination of all this is worth 25-30 hp. I ran 10.21@137.71 with the DA almost 7000ft. I am hoping to get into the 10.0X range. I still have some retuning to do, but seat of the pants it feels like it picked up some power. I haven't tried it on the bottle yet, I want to make sure the tune is spot on before I spray it. We will see what happens when it cools off later in the season.

Here is the 235 next to the 245. It's kind of hard to tell, but you can see there is no pushrod pinch.

Real nice Jim like that offset/no pinch business.

Be nice if it cooled down!

Noticed the the size of those headers. Valvetrain looks too good to cover up.

Its amazing how the 23 degree market just keeps getting better every single year some 50-60 years since it first began. Bottomless cup.

The 235's and 245's are competition port heads. All the comp port heads have a finer cnc finish than the entry level heads. They do almost look hand finished.
