A/C problems! 93 LT1
This has been going on for quite sometime.
I've changed the control panel and the low pressure sensor.
I just finally got it out of the shop for other problems and the A/C was
Working.
I called and asked and he said he didn't mess with it and it worked every time he drove it.
I thought maybe he inadvertingly fixed it because I drove it for two days
And it worked both days.
I should have never commented about it because five minutes after I did it quit.
Just like before the green light above the the button on the control panel was blinking.
I did what I use to do and that is disconnect the battery for a very short time and it worked again.
This time it lasted for about 5 minutes!
Any ideas.
Thanks
Herb

I agree, see what the Code is - but more than likely it's out of gas or low on gas or the Pressure Sensor is bad or there's an intermittent at the Low Pressure Switch. Low gas is determined by the number of times the Low Pressure Switch opens to kill the Compressor Clutch Relay and whether or not the Pressure Sensor voltage/value rises with Compressor engagement. Specs are no more than 8 opens or cycles per minute at 70 degrees, but a fully charge system shouldn't trip the switch at all at this outside air temp. Did the shop give you the operating pressures, ambient, and center vent temp? Pressure sensor will also kill the system with a return of 4 volts or 400 psi, but that doesn't set a code in the Body Module (to my knowledge). Other pressure sensor codes are in the PCM - usually in the 70's - and should illuminate the Check Engine Light.

It wasn't in the shop for the A/C but I guess it will go.
I didn't know the A/C pressures could cause a check engine light.
I can tell you this. When the A/C is operating it's "cold"
One more question. Is there an A/C computer?
