Stiffer chasis wanted for my 94...Ideas?
Getting tired of my 94 flexing and creeking when I pull into a driveway at an angle. I would also like to take my targa top off and not feel like I am driving a wet noodle.
If there was one thing that I could do to stiffen it up, what would any of you Suggest.
Thanks!
-Mike

Check out the Vette2Vette.com Frame stiffener. This is what I will be doing this summer. Along with either a Targa Truss from Pro Street Customs or a used Cross Brace from R-Dracing.

That would be the only way to stop a C4 from flexing.
There have been members who installed the Vert X-Brace to coupes and it didnt stop anything. The camber brace, the targa brace, the Xbrace the newest one that runs parallel with the frame (POS) and the bottom line a C4 will always be a C4. They flex, all plastic breaks and they rock!

Taking the X-brace off makes an even larger difference (you haven't felt "noodle" if you haven't driven a naked vert), so if I had a coupe I'd probably look at an X-brace as the first step, cross-bar second, camber brace third.
Camber brace is the only one of the three that has a significant ride quality downside.

I've got the vert x brace, it has been boxed to make it even better, I have the camber brace, and yes my car is stiff but it still squeaks & groans on driveways etc. Get used to it or install a full cage as others have said.

I recently installed the x-brace on my ZR-1, and it's a noticeable improvement. I haven't tried it with the top off, but with the top on, a lot of the rattles and shakes are gone. Railroad tracks no longer induce fear that I'm going to lose some parts in the process.
