Default BOSCH 3's for running flat out over 140 mph WOT in a C4

Greg,

Don't get me wrong,
We need Jon Banner as a group on C4.
We need guys like you & M7- Mick also.

My car just has muffler eliminators & an Accel ignition system.
stock cam as far as I know.
Hi stall custom hand built torque converter.
Runs very hard for a old stone age EFI C4 that the public cares nothing about no more.

I step on the gas & pass nearly all with ease & they wonder what the hell just flew by them over 100 mph.
LOL
A bright red flash with a black convertible top...........

I hardly ever take the trans out of OVERDRIVE too.
Shifts that fast & clean,
there is no need to.

The complaints about BOSCH 3's will never end.
Unless a solution is completed for all.

heres a thread you will like.. scroll to #318 i think the car was 2mph off the record at Bonneville this year. Corey Henderson from Hendereson Performance in Texas could of used any injector made for the project which ran at Bonne a few times. The last run was the Best. Meanwhile it has Bosch 3 injectors with custom diffuser plates done my me.. This is a very cool thread.

It's not 140 mph, but I've ran 119 mph in the 1/4 with my Bosch III's.

You are not talking to a handicapped retarded mechanic here JOHN.

High powered Industrial Lasers are rated in JOULES of light energy output.

Watts is another secondary rating for them.

I am not busting your ***** John,

Not trying to.

There are some issues that need to be worked out.

Why guys bitch & complain yet here on C4.

I found my own 1/2 *** solution for time being 57 psi.

Greg Penn & others very familiar with C4 stock software systems can help YOU.

End all complaints.

Only such much you can do for a $200 bucks I know.

Maybe I do need bigger injectors.

My 87 does start beautiful with 22lb BOSCH 3's.

i didn't get the drift of your posts, thats all. the changing FP to 57 is making the injector a 26, but the tune is set for 22. so its just has more fuel at WOT. You are in open loop at wot. What you should do is get a 26 and run it 43. But the bottom end will be dirty running that fat without a tune.. You better be careful going that fast on the street.

Ok John,

You never take Your C6 over 55 mph then ?

"I can't drive 55..................."

The Red Rocker Sammy Hagar has the same problem I hear on local radio at least once a day......

Why would you change the FP to 57psi on a stock '87 Vette? If you like washing the cylinder walls with raw fuel and accellerating the timeline to rebuild, maybe one would do this?

Just a thought: More people would be able to follow your posts if you wrote in complete, comprehensive sentences.

More fuel on a stock tune on these cars is a BAD idea. I called and talked to John on the phone about my EXTREMELY rich condition. Running on stock PSI with 26 pound injectors almost made him laugh.

These computers are tuned pretty much to near perfection. Any decent change will cause problems. You MIGHT be able to get away with flowing 24 pounds at WOT, but it's not recommended.

I'm with AKS Racing. Your washing out your cylinders and making the car run worse. Get the size injectors you want and tune. You should be running 80% of the max rated flow at WOT.

About 30,000 miles later with Jon's BOSCH 3's & running 57 psi fuel pressure,

Daily driving, highway driving, drove to Reston, Virginia & back, topped my car out at least 20 times since....

No washed down cylinder walls.

Pull the PVC out & the oil filler cap with the engine running.

ZERO piston ring blowby present.

Your theory of washed down cylinder walls on my 87 Vert is thrown out the window.

I've been running 32lb Bosch 3s for two years @43psi with a dyno tune and have done 170. If you can't get over 115 and need to run @ 57psi something else is going on.

You have a LT-1 car Jon,

I have L98 TPI.

Different animals all together.

My point is that all previous complaints with BOSCH 3's in all different year of C4's are not all BS.

Something for all on C4 to check out.
Field project in my home garage.
Garage tests....

Yes I know the magnesium valvecovers on my 87 vert look like crap.
Never did have the chance to refinish them this year.
My 87 runs very good & strong.
2.73 rear gears.
Smokes the rear 315's with ease.
