C4 guys...please help!
I'm hoping someone has info on this......
The 3rd gear synchro on my pop's 1992 C4 just went and our local GM parts dept. says GM does not carry a replacement anymore. Where can I get a 3rd gear replacement synchro for him? Any and all help is greatly appreciated, Aloha, Dave!

Went through the same thing a few years ago. If you are not experienced withe manual rebuild have a pro do it. The ZF is not an easy trans to work on. Check out this topic for parts and shops: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=292522

Thanks 93 Polo. Actually I have done work on Muncies, T5's, and the Super T-10 but none on a ZF. I'm hoping it won't be too bad......we'll see. Thanks again for the help. What would I do without the Corvetteforum.com guys? Better yet, what would my dad do? LOL ;) Mahalo! :cheers:

Are the 1-2nd gear synchro's on the ZF different from the 3rd to 6th? Just curious.....I heard that somewhere. :confused:
