Van Steel has been on my good side for 2+ years now. They sell quality parts and offer great customer service.

Currently, Im working with them on an issue with parts and Paul has been very supportive.

The Z06 conversion looks great but, a 18" wheel is needed.

Yup! Some use 17" rear wheel for a drag style set up. But you can not run inside wheel weights.

Depending on the price I may upgrade to these brackets. Not 100% sure of the cause yet but under high speed heavy braking I SOMETIMES get an agressive vibration through the steering wheel. Ill have to look into this! May possibly be my current brackets deflecting under load?...

Hmmmmmmm.
Realy - hmmmmmm.
If the bracket, caliper and rotor fit under a stock c5Z6 18x10.5 or 18x9.5 wagon wheels and was reasonably priced (wonder what the caliper costs) this might be a big brake kit deal.

Hmmmmmmmm.

OBTW I have the later suspension - its a 92 so a slightly different bracket.

Third, we are getting a stress test analysis done and we should have the test results later next week.

Looks pretty good!

I'll assume the final bracket kit you sell will have some type of aluminum or steel spacers instead of that stack of washers you have pictured in your links?
Or maybe some length appropriate grade 8 (shorter) bolts?

Don't forget us later C4 model year guys, '88~'95, with different spindles!

The brackets are done. We decided to make them out of steel vs aluminum. The brackets are at the powder coaters now. We expect to have them back any day. All the hardware to mount the brackets are here. As soon as the brackets come back, we should be able to ship.

Default master cylinder and power booster

I was going to pick up a factory master cylinder and just a single diaphragm 7" power booster for the c6 z06 brakes. Like to hear what everyone is using.

Kubs uses an F-body master on his with a 1" piston...said he had to redo the lines to connect it, but any F-body from the same year group as our C4's will work.

The f body is about the same as corvette master cylinder. All are 1" bore. Lines are different. Fbody should have the lines coming out the pass side of the cylinder and the vette exits from the driver. I have been recommended by several sources to put in an adjustable proportioning valve for the rear. I'm going to run a dual diaphram 8" vacuum booster. Waiting to talk with Wilwood and Van Steel tomorrow to find more recomendations

I have been following this and the other thread going for the last couple
of weeks, and met Paul from Van Steel yesterday at Houston's
Chevy/Corvette expo. They are now a distributor for the Street shop rear brake adapter. We pulled up a chair and talked about the C4's lack of braking and suspension for quite a while as the show was going on and they seem to have the solution for my brake/spring/shock ( coilovers ) need/want. Very friendly and knowledgeable, will be doing business with them.
