Default Gas with Ethnol

I have a 1990 Corvette with L98 - does the new gas make much difference in the car over time?

The original injectors HATE ethanol. There is someone who will post soon who knows a guy who will rebuild them. I've never used them, but ANY time stock injectors come into a thread, he gets brought up. He will rebuild the stock injectors and they will work fine with ethanol fuels. Pretty much the cheapest and best route.

BUT.......

You can just do what I did and get some 28 pounders from Summit Racing!

Woohoo? Your car bogs and doesn't run right. If you haven't (programmatically) tuned it, do it. Do it now.

there are a couple of threads on this topic. way more comments too.

Jon @ FIC says OEM injectors may not handle the extra alcohol very well. He's probably right. But, I wouldn't worry until you observe compromised operation of the vehicle.

Leave me alone. :P

That's right, FIC is the place to go.

The point isn't WHO you get the injectors from...but recommending the wrong size to someone unfamiliar with the ramifications. Tuning is absolutely necessary with an injector SIZE change.

Changing brands while keeping the same size is normally doable. Sometimes there can be small variances in how different brands react...though fuel trims should take car of those issues.
