sys on the dash beside the speedo. For what ever reason the are 2 ways of checking codes on the car one brings up check eng the other sys. under the dash find the code reader connector. I think its "A" and "H" you hardwire and with the ign on it will display on the dash what is wrong

I had that SYS flashing in my 1990 coupe and it was a computer going bad. I replaced the computer and I haven't seen the flashing SYS again. That was over 5 years ago.
