The dash LCD display was intermittantly working. I have the cluster out of the car and would like to try to repair it. Based on some old posts, i will start by looking at the lcd connector. My problem is that I can figure out how to take the cluster apart. I removed the thin black plastic back cover and screws holding the pcb down. But the pcb doesnt seem to easily be removed from the white housing. I dont want to flex the board too much and crack a solder joint. I also tried the front, I removed the clear plastic curved cover bat still cant see how to expose the inside. I checked the forum search and couldnt find specific instructions.

There is a white connector on the right that connects the two PCBs together. You have to very carefully disconnect it there.

I still cant see how to disassemble the cluster to get at the inside. Does anyone have pics?

I checked the bates site and it only covers through '89. I have a '91. Is there a good source for the '91 cluster?

A Factory Service Manual may have the info but the dash panel may be just a replace item to a service tech. Maybe a 91 owner will jump in and help ya.
