Default suggestions on how to give my stock 85 a better ride

I believe the 84/85 corvette's had the worst suspension outta the c4's. How can I improve the ride quality to make it a bit smoother? Get suspension of a newer c4? new shocks/struts? if so what kind? coilovers?

Thanks

Start with a good set of shocks.
I suggest you find the HD/Z51 Bilsteins for all four corners.
If this doesn't work well for you then it's time to start swapping springs.

Seriously, start with shocks. (and change your avatar, seriously)

lol, wow...corvette's for life eh? lol Its funny how much my cobra gets bashed on here, but in my Mustangs forums there are members with corvette's posted in there avatar and they get complements. Some ppl can appreciate a nice ride, others can only stick to one make or model. oh well. i like em both IMO.

I will change pic soon so my topics won't get distracted with mooostangs.lol

If you are looking for a smoother ride you'll have to go to a softer spring. However before you do that, put some fresh shocks in it. See if that takes care of the issues you're having.

Look at your RPO list and see which suspension you have. If you have the FE1 you have the softer ride suspension. If you have the Z51 then you have the sportier/stiffer suspension. If you do have the Z51, the least expensive thing to do would be to change your anti-roll bars to smaller diameter and install standard shocks. The z51 shocks are for performance and will be a little more harsh. Some low cost good shocks that are a good all around shock are sold by TPIS.
