Default Cooling issue with a car that has not run in 5 years 1994

Hopefully you guys can help, the issue I am having is the following

I recently purchased this car after it has sat in a parking spot for 5 years durring this time it was not run at all.

Currently the following has been done.

new oil and filter
new gas
new temp sensor mounted in the water pump.
Filled up the coolant

That is all that has been done to date, the car is running and that is where the problem starts.

The cooling system is having an issue where the fan does not come on, I have ran it up to 211 temp and no further with the fan not coming on (AC on or off, heater on or off).

Both the lower and upper hoes get hot and under pressure.

Any ideas as to what I should do next?

Feel free to call and thanks for any and all help guys.

The cooling fans don't activate on your 94 until 228* and 237*. But, they should work with the A/C on.

Well the AC does work but I do not see the fan to the left if sitting in the drivers seat moving with the AC on.

I cannot see another fan at all I must be missing it

Let it run up to 230* as measured by the digital gauge, and see what happens.

Great news the left fan did come on close to the 230 temp so that is great!

Bad news is the AC is not working I think this may be linked to the right fan(if sitting in drivers seat) is not working .
I do not think the AC was working from the time I have had the car (2 weeks)

On the 94's the right fan doesn't engage until ~237*.

Likely low on freon. Then the binary switch will not let power get to the AC clutch and if I am right it will not allow the fan relays to get the ground signal to run the fans either.

You can have your brain reprogrammed to activate the aux fan at a lower temp. I got a brain from pcmforlesss that is programmed to come on at 198. I kept my old brain so I can swap out if I ever need to. The new brain does change the feel of the car and gives a little extra juice in wot. I live in a non emmissions checking area but one county north in Tenn. they check emissions so I'm not sure how well my new brain would do on their checks. That is another reason I kept my old brain.

C4s have always had tendency to run hot. When I bought my 95 sevreal years ago, it used to freak me out. So I replaced the radiator, water pump, cooling lines, hiflow thermostat. It made it a little more comfortable as far as worries go. I now average about 180 in the winter and occasionally 220 in heavy traffic during the summer months. You may just have some rust build up in your radiator. I would start with good clean flush, maybe even replace it.

Reprogramming the PCM for better fan temp parameters is the best way to beat a hot C4 into submission. It won't affect the emissions. It also helps the fuel trims on 93 octane and hardens shifts on the A4 that saves the clutches and makes your passenger's head snap.

On at 207 off at 197. Cruises at 190 winter/summer. The 237 is for emissions and will cook the stuff under the hood. Reprogram the brain.
