Problem retrieving codes 89 vette

Default Problem retrieving codes 89 vette

When I short the A&B pins and turn the ignition on the fan starts to run but no codes are displayed. Any one had simular problem?

Does the SES light flash at all?

when I open the door "Security" starts to flash. When I turn the key to ON anti lock, low collant and fasten seat belt comes on then goes off. The only thing that stays on is the battery symbol

Most likely SES bulb is blown , should light up when key tuned on like the other lights,
The fact your fan runs indicates the ECM has gone into diagnostic mode correctly when you jumpered the ALDL
