Default hood prop

Anybody got the old style scissor prop laying around for sale? Need one cause I had a tech turn mine into a pretzel. Dont like the new style cylinders. For sale ??? 1985 z85

True, true. If that doesn't work a local salvage yard has 84 that has a prop. If you can't find one in parts I can check this one for condition.

Mine was the same way when I bought it, detail guys messed it up and folded it sideways. I ended up drilling out the rivets, straightening each bar, painting it satin black and using flange bolts with nylock nuts. It works great, looks good, and saved me mucho denero.

Yeah I did that the first time...Metal is too weak now...I had to take it off . Just folded up again.

I got tired of switching sides to open and close the hood.

Converted my 86e over to a late model gas cylinder.

Very happy and much easier to operate

Dash is dead. Will the car still run without it?? getting rebuilt

My dash dies intermittently on my 84. Doesn't seem to affect the running of the engine. LIke to know why it blacks out though.
