Nice job! Did it take out your luggage compartment? Mine still has a hole in it.

I did the same thing a few years ago when I put on a set of Nitto drag radials. Not a good feeling.

Epic win!

Just an observation...isn't that a pretty small intake for your setup? It looks pretty small to me..

That there is a standard J Code intake and I had to shorten it a bit as well so that I could get the turbo feed pipe on there without too much of a bend.

Unfortunately there isn't after-market made for the Diesel, and I don't think I am in need of much more power lol

Thank you, there were a LOT of late nights ....and head scratching The diesel that is in there is 5" wider and 2" longer than the SBC I had to move the steering rack forward 2.5" re model the HAVC box, adjust the subframe and move the motor mounts 1/2" to the drivers side.

And after all that there was no room for the turbo so I went with a rear mount, and sacrificed the passenger rear locker

Here are a few pics of the exhaust/turbo setup...

Damn. Its kinda like all of those people who always claim that they have [this special motor] crammed into [this special car].

Except....you actually did it.

Wow, I've never heard of this before. Can you post some more information on the engine and swap? It looks like it's got a tailgate!

Well I built the car as a pick-up about 6 years ago, I own a business specialising in Vettes here in the UK and I use the pick-up every day as my "van" and it doubles up as a driving advert for my workmanship.

As many of you know fuel prices are going up and up and currently gas is
$8.25 a gallon here and so the second reason for the diesel swap........oh and there is the small matter of s**t loads of torque

A few more pics to be going on with....

Tailgate open

Moving the steering rack forward and narrowing the cross-member

Changing the outlet angle of the passenger side manifold

Shortening the oil pan...

Changes to the A/C box

Making some spring plates for the FX3 shocks so that I can add a pair of 100Lb springs to take the extra weight of the engine ...
